Add some style to your binge watching sessions with this unique head-shaped popcorn bowl!

The story of how this object came to be is a bit odd. I was actually looking for a head model to print in order to test some covid mask designs I was doing and came upon this one here by Federico Badiali.

I started modifying the model so that it could print without supports in vase mode. I removed lots of details, since they weren't needed for my end goal. But then, when chopping the top of the head to shorten printing time I realized this would do for a very cool popcorn bowl!

So I restarted from scratch, keeping all existing face details and adding some more. I worked with FreeCad to convert the model to STL and then worked on that in Blender using boolean modifiers and sculpting tools to achieve a good looking result that could print without supports. It came up pretty neat!

Enjoy your movie watching!

Print instructions

The model shown has been printed in PLA with 0.3mm layer resolution and no supports. Filament is orange PLA from Winbo.
