This is a unconventional approach making a binder clip with FreeCAD. A spreadsheet is used to open the clip. Both handles positions have to be adjusted manual. Yep it is what it is. You can try a "Assembly Workbench" like A2plus for you needs, i did manage to make the animated gif this way. The opening range of the clip is 8mm. Hope you like it, it is a 32mm clip that i had lying around for years :).
