This X-end design minimizes Z-axis binding by incorporating an additional set of bushings on the X-axis idler. These bushings allow X-shaft movement in the X direction while maintaining rigidity in Y and Z directions, enabling the distance between X-ends to adjust with height changes, reducing Z-axis binding. Compatible with 8 or 10mm bronze or PTFE-filled acetal bushings. Eight SDP self-aligning bushings are utilized: four for anti-binding features and four for Z-axis bushings. Attach motor end clamp and delrin nuts using M5-20mm screws and nuts. An alternate version is available, clamping on both ends, which simplifies printing but loses the anti-binding benefits. This version suits MM 1.5's easily adjustable Z-axis shaft spacing better. A lead nut adapter is also optional for select 3-hole leadscrews like those sold by Maker's Tool Works and Trinity Labs.
