We needed space for shoes in our Billy Regal cabinet. At the hardware store, I bought a 2.40 m long wooden rod with a 15mm diameter and cut it into 4 pieces each 60 cm long. The brackets fill the missing 15mm on both sides (the cabinet is 63cm wide). You have to loosen the screws on the cabinet slightly to get the rod with bracket into the holes, but it holds very well.
