BILLY CAM - Close up nozzle webcam for BULLSEYE Ender 3 and others.
thingiverse
With the input of my 12-year-old son Billy, I present this STL. I was tired of bending my neck to see under the nozzle and how layers were doing. Another one of these is available on Thingiverse that inspired me, but it didn't fit Bullseye and the hole was too big for my cam, and I'm useless in other software. These are available on thousands of sites like Amazon and Aliexpress. I recommend one with variable LED control for lights at the cam end - it helps to show layers better for me. I'm told on Facebook print groups that this is rather hypnotic, so you've been warned. Full-screen nozzle watching for hours on end can cause you to lose everything you value in your plastic life. This grabs the hotend plate at the back and rides over Bullseye, making space for built-in LEDs underneath the bullseye. My best advice would be to print 10-15 layers and see if you like the fit profile. If not, suggest something constructively. As stated, it's a work in progress. Mine is working flawlessly, but it's my size cam, and I have LED under Bullseye. There are a couple of different measurements to try out rather than a larger failed print. I'm up for adjusting this to others' needs as I need the practice in Fusion360. Ask away, and I'll upload a video, but it's pretty self-explanatory.
