Replacement Glass Tube for EHPRO Billow V1 RTA. Finding replacement glass tanks is extremely difficult, but after several trials and errors, I was able to create an effective substitute. Although I haven't tested it yet, the design appears to seal well and function as intended. Make sure to read the print instructions carefully. Print Settings: Printer Brand: MakerBot Printer: MakerBot Replicator 2 Rafts: Yes Supports: No Resolution: .2mm layers Infill: None (vase print) Notes: When printing this part, use a layer height of .2mm or less. Increasing the temperature slightly will promote better layer adhesion. I printed mine with old-school Makerbot natural PLA at 233 degrees. Print as a vase (4 shells, layer width @ .4mm) without a floor or roof. Use a raft to prevent distortion and ensure proper sealing. There should be minimal post-print cleanup required. Natural PLA or translucent colors are best for monitoring juice levels. How I Designed This: I used wings3D to generate and smooth the cylinder in two passes. The part was then adjusted and scaled in Makerware before being saved as an STL file after multiple test prints when the fit on the silicone gaskets was perfect. Treating the part as a tube produced poor results, with gaps between the walls no matter the infill settings. In some cases, the inside wall separated from the outer wall entirely. By modeling it as a vase print on a cylinder of the correct diameter, I could control the thickness of the tank wall and achieve better layer adhesion. Printing it in standard fashion won't work, but there are plenty of tutorials available for doing vase prints.
