Billiard balls, also known as pool balls, have a radius of 34.2mm; standard balls measure 68mm, requiring some polishing. A gap should exist between the top and bottom of the ball assembly. To fill this gap, melted used plastic can be inserted and acts as a glue. Drilling a hole behind the ball number allows concealment of the plastic, resulting in a potentially more detailed design in future.
