Kodiak Marine created a modified bilge pump that was designed as a bait/washdown pump by removing the standard intake cover and attaching a special cover with a hose barb to it. This pump is no longer available to be purchased, so I developed my own version which can be added to any standard Rule 500GPH or Seaflo 500GPH model to convert it into a bait pump by simply replacing the intake catch with this modified unit. The cost of the standard pumps is less than $20, while a bait pump can cost almost $100 in some cases, making this conversion a money-saving option for users who need a reliable bait/washdown system.
