I crafted this canopy to enable the utilization of a split-type camera and pan/tilt mechanism. In the image, I'm utilizing the outstanding Runcam Hybrid 4k pan/tilt by bonafidepirate. (Get it here: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3937599 ) The canopy is designed to be attached with a couple of servo screws and a strip of tape where the canopy meets the fuselage. The slimmer 2.0 version weighs only 15 grams. There are now two versions: 1.0: 1mm thickness 2.0: .75mm thickness with reinforced screw pads I've printed mine with PETG. Print with the "back" to the print bed, with front of the canopy pointing up. Supports are necessary for the screw pads and optionally for the recessed nose. Getting a smooth print was tricky. The best approach seems to be printing with 0% infill and disabling "gap fill" in the slicer. Basically, print with perimeters only. If your slicer supports it, (I use Prusa Slicer) you can adjust settings for the screw pads separately, using 100% infill to make them solid, and disabling infill or gap fill in the main surface of the canopy.
