I wanted a solution that would allow me to mount my bike on the wall of my apartment in a way that was both functional and visually appealing. I had seen hangers in the past that utilized the pedal to secure the bike to the wall, and I liked the idea since it would lend itself to being a printed part, as opposed to large bike mounts that I had seen before. Additionally, I wanted something that would be very easy to use on a daily basis. I came up with a design that has proven to be exactly what I was looking for. After using it for a while, I really like the way it works. With the bike being fairly high up on the wall, it keeps it out of the way so I can still utilize the space around it. It is very easy to get the bike up and down on the rack, and has proven to be very secure so far. The wheel "shelves" serve a few different purposes. They take a small amount of the bike's weight, which helps to keep the bike in a level position. They also prevent the wall from being marked up with scratches or scuffs. Two of these shelves need to be printed in order for the design to work as intended. If you decide to make one, I would appreciate it if you could post your results and leave some feedback. This will help me to see how well the design works in different situations and make any necessary improvements.
