This 3-piece toolbox concept is designed to fit standard bike bottle cage inserts, allowing it to be mounted on any bike frame where a typical bottle cage would be installed. The bracket is secured to the frame using bolts, providing a stable foundation for the toolbox. To open the toolbox, simply turn the top shell a quarter of a turn (no stop required) and slide it into position alongside the bottom shell. Once aligned properly, both shells can be slid into place within the bracket, where they lock securely thanks to a built-in stop that can be released using a flexible tab. Initially, I envisioned installing a battery pack for my light within this toolbox, which is why there's a hole in the top shell - just insert a plug once the light cable passes through.
