Bike stand extension

pinshape

Bike stand extension solution for when you accidentally purchase a too-small kickstand and don't want to spend an additional $30 on a replacement, allowing that money to be redirected toward justifying a long-wanted filament. Printed at 25% infill, with four solid layers on top and bottom and three on the sides - resulting in a remarkably strong structure. This iteration fits perfectly, although it was printed 0.5 mm smaller in both X and Y dimensions, which made it extremely tight and required hammering onto the metal stand. In doing so, minor dents were inflicted upon the wood and cement from the opposite end of the metal, but the filament itself remained unscathed. Print Settings: * Printer Brand: Printrbot * Printer Model: Simple Black * Rafts: Yes * Supports: No * Resolution: 0.3000 mm * Infill Percentage: 25% Notes: In addition to the specified infill percentage, four solid layers were printed on top and bottom, and three on the sides - resulting in a remarkably strong structure. Post-Printing: A very simple design was employed - two cylinders were subtracted from another, one for the stand itself and the other for the nut/bolt.
