To enhance the performance of a bike on bumpy roads, particularly for mountain bikes, the concept was to develop a damper in conjunction with a heated seat. The primary function of a damper is to convert mechanical energy into heat energy. A plan emerged to utilize this generated heat and direct it towards a simple system within the seat, creating a comfortable heated seat for the rider. However, finding an affordable and straightforward solution has proven challenging. As an alternative, I'm now focusing on a high-performance shock absorber, a bi-tubular design filled with 80% oil and 20% gas, to improve damping efficiency.
