thingiverse
Create a wedding cake topper using your Replicator 2 printer via Makerware software at 0.2mm layer height, 10% infill, and two shells for a friend's special day. The final touches included hand painting and adding clear plastic spokes, which were not difficult to produce. Most people are amazed that the cake topper was 3D printed. To replicate this project using PLA filament, print each part until you have a complete kit. Positioning parts on the printing bed is straightforward, while the wheels might require standing up on a raft with supports. For a smoother finish, use acetone or emery boards to sand the surface before priming and painting. Attach axles, gears, forks, spacers, springs, and wheels using super glue as needed. The wheel creation process involves cutting two circles from a CD cover lid, attaching them to a brake hub, and adding fuse wire for the brake lines. Have fun creating this unique wedding cake topper!
