Bike Saddle Storage Case Flexible 3D print model

This design was modeled in Spaceclaim Engineer and visualized using Keyshot. A bicycle seat from Grabcad provided the foundation for this project. The idea driving this bike case is to create a product made from rubber-like materials found on platforms such as Shapeways, Objet Printers, or others. To meet its function, the case needs to be more rigid than the cover. This necessity arises because the case has to maintain its grip on the seatpost and support bars under load conditions. As a result, high-durometer materials should be used for optimal results. Conversely, the cover requires flexibility so that when pressed, it opens up the slot designed for easy insertion or removal. The design inspiration comes from a small rubber coin purse with its functional convenience and portability.
