Bike pump seal
thingiverse
What happens when your bicycle pump gets older? Over time the little rubber that presses against the bicycle valve disintegrates. This makes it harder to pump air through the little valve, as air starts to go other directions. I've diassembled two of my old and trusty pumps and taken measurements of the remainders of these little rubber seals. Sure enough, they all differ. Here are two versions 11mm and 14mm outer diameter. the smaller one is for an old and primitive metal pump. it works just perfect now. The larger one is for a more modern plastic pump, which has many other small pieces underneath the seal. I don't get the function of all these parts. for one thing, they need to move up and down a bit, and there is no nice center hole any more, there are three little holes off-center. To allow at least some airflow back to the center, I've made some groves on the bottom of that seal. I have to say, I like the older simpler pump design better! Printed with TPU, and solid concentric fill. Sorry for photographing white printed parts on white background.
