I own two bikes: a mountain bike and a road bike. A trusty pump, bought about 25 years ago, has been serving me well. However, changing the pump mount from one bike to another can be a hassle when I switch between them. To solve this problem, I designed and built a custom bike pump mount and clip system. This setup allows me to securely attach the pump to either of my bikes. The pump fits snugly into place and is held firmly by the clip. The clip provides an extra layer of protection, ensuring that it doesn't come loose while riding on the road. One improvement I'd like to make is upgrading the velcro strip used in the clip. Currently, I'm using a wire tie velcro strip that's too small and single-ended. To get around this issue, I twist the velcro before threading it through the clip, which helps it hold securely.
