I replaced the phone mount that didn't work with my handlebar setup, a Giant Defy Advanced Pro, so I built an adapter to sit on top of the stem. It now supports both orientations of the phone mount seamlessly, thanks to a strip of cable-wrap velcro keeping it securely in place.
