Bike Phone Holder (5X + Case)
thingiverse
This is a redesign of int2str's bike phone holder that I liked quite a bit. I had to redesign it for my own phone and bike needs, so I made some additional modifications along the way. I wanted to be able to leave my case on, so this redesigned bike phone holder is specifically sized for the Nexus 5X including this Tudia Nexus 5X case from Amazon that fits perfectly. My printer is currently over-extruding a bit, so you may need to fine tune the dimensions even if you have the same phone/case. I arrived at these dimensions through several test prints - The files "Pressfit Test" and "Clip Test" are there to test the fit of the bottom piece into the top piece as well as the fit of the clip onto your phone. I added a cutout for the USB port, making sure the headphone jack is also easily accessible. The bottom slide-in piece has a hole at the top where you can put a zip-tie through for extra insurance against it slipping out. I've also added two more vertical slots for optional zip-ties to prevent side-to-side motion. Print Settings: Printer Brand: RepRap Printer: Prusa i3 Rafts: No Supports: Yes Resolution: 0.4mm Infill: 30% Notes: I printed the larger piece on its flat edge with no supports required, but I did need to use supports to hold up the insert when printing the smaller piece on its flat edge.
