Motivation After 2 years the right pedal of my bike was totally broken, so decide to model a replacement to reuse the origial thread. To make me sure than the pedal is strong, I added two holes to pass a stud screws and reinfoce it. But I feel that is too much. BOM The original bolt 2 x 3.8x100mm studs (optionals) A bit of wire A bit of mechanical multi use grease Print Settings Printer Brand: Prusa Printer: Prusa Clone Rafts: No Supports: Yes Resolution: 0.24 Infill: 20% Filament: Grilon 3 PETG, ePET Crimson Red Notes: Importante to use 3 walls! Post-Printing ============= 1. Disassembly the original pedal, and keep the bolt 2. Print the model 3. Use a drill to remove the bridge layer 4. Reduce the screw tip to has the same diameter 5. Spread the grease on the original bolt 6. Introduce the bolt into the printed pedal and use the wire to secure it 7. (optional If you have a light foot), screw the studs and cut the leftover 8. Add the reflectors Use a bit of glue to fix it. 9. Screw the pedal in the bike and enjoy it! How I Designed This =================== The sizes are based on the original pedal, but it was simplified to make more easy the printing. Category: Sport & Outdoors
