I built this nifty laser aligner to feed my addiction with spot-on stem/fork alignment on my mountain bikes. It's probably good for other uses as well. Other essential components: A 650nm, 5mW, 3-5V Red Laser Cross Module Diode A 2AA Battery Holder - w/Wires and Switch Both can be found on Amazon or Ebay for under $10 total Print Settings: Printer: Ares Rafts: It doesn't matter. Supports: Yes Infill: 50%/Medium Notes: I used PLA to minimize wrapping and because strength wasn't a priority. Designing This Device Since this device consists of all geometric shapes, I utilized SCAD to parametrize the measurements, making it easier to tweak my designs throughout multiple prototypes. Initially, I planned to attach the laser holder with a screw by tapping into its tab, but the fit was snug enough that it wasn't necessary.
