Bike Helmet Mounted Headset

Bike Helmet Mounted Headset

My wife and I love to ride our bikes, but we often struggle to have meaningful conversations because the trail or road is moving too fast or is too narrow. One day, while browsing Craigslist, I stumbled upon a pair of used Cardo Scala Rider Q2 headsets at an unbeatable price - they're usually designed for motorcycles or snowmobiles, but I decided to give them a shot on our bikes. The mount allows us to quickly and securely attach the headset to my helmet. The flexible earpiece is super convenient because it lets me position the speaker right next to my ear without losing track of the road ahead. This way, we can enjoy the ride while still being able to chat with each other. The mount consists of two parts that snap onto the Q2's factory mounting holes using M3 screws. The speaker itself clamps onto two GearTies, which make it easy to position and adjust as needed. We used #6 screws and nuts for the clamps. We put these headsets through their paces on a test ride and were thrilled with how well they worked - they stayed securely in place and delivered great sound quality. Here's what we bought: - 8 inches of 3/4-inch VELCO strap - One package of 12-inch GearTies (Nite-Ize GT12-2PK-01) - 2 inches of self-adhesive VELCO for the speaker
