Bike Helmet Mirror Ball Joint
thingiverse
Replacement ball joint for Schwinn (and other no-name brand) bicycle helmet mirrors easily found online. Works perfectly well despite slight deformation of ball during 3D printing process. Ridges grip quite well as original, doing a remarkable job. Update: After printing several of these I found that the ball printed consistently enough to fit perfectly in mirror arm. I've added files with the piece split into two separate parts. With the split parts I find no raft is needed and minimal supports in the hole of the larger part, and since I use ABS a little acetone fuses them together. Seems to fit better and provide more strength. Print Settings Printer Brand: FlashForge Printer: Dreamer Rafts: Doesn't Matter Supports: Yes Resolution: 0.1 mm Infill: 50% Notes: Printed as oriented in .stl so that ridges on what is the top face in this orientation print well. Update: Split files printed flat part down.
