Bike Headtube Headlight Mount

Bike Headtube Headlight Mount

I made this to mount a headlight to my bicycles headtube instead of the handlebars. I don't like the light to move all over as i steer. The bolt hole to mount the light on this is 8mm.The headtube on my bike is about 42mm wide. I left some room in there so that i could put some foam tape to prevent this from scratching the paint, but to also give it a little traction. The only thing that holds it on is a single zip tie. The headlight i have is probably on the bigger side of what you are going to be using with a bicycle, and this, and the single zip tie, seem to be holding up very well.

I know enough about bikes to know that all headtubes are not the same size, but I imagine you can scale this as needed. Mine is a 29" mountain bike with a threadless fork. I made this for my bike specifically, but i thought i would post it here just in case someone else can make use of it.

Print Settings

Printer Brand:

Creality

Printer:

Ender 3

Rafts:

No

Supports:

No

Resolution:

.32

Infill:

40

Filament: 3d Solutech PLA

Notes:

supports shouldn't be needed. print in current orientation.

Category: Hobby
