I fabricated these because the grips on my bike were a bit too long for the handlebar. The plugs that come with the grips are designed to fit into the inside of the 22mm handlebar, so they fit snugly into a 16mm hole. These plugs are designed to fit into a 22 mm hole and use a screw to secure them in place. This was an unusual situation, but these plugs solved it for me.
