Bike Device Customizeable Grip
thingiverse
This is an innovative assistive gadget engineered to enable individuals with upper limb differences to ride bicycles with ease and comfort. Developed by eNable Lowell, a dedicated on-campus group at the University of Massachusetts Lowell that specializes in designing and distributing 3D printed assistive devices for people with unique needs. This variant of the device offers a more comfortable alternative for those who have digits or some level of grip functionality. It allows PVC to be inserted into the device, which can then be thermoformed into a customized grip shape tailored to individual preferences. Note: The handle shown is specifically designed for our first recipient, but you may need to adjust the size, length, and other aspects of the socket to provide an optimal riding experience for each user. Another Note: To complete the assembly process, it's essential to print two "grips" that will work seamlessly together.
