Bike Computer Button Guard (Velo 5 or 8)

The Cateye Velo 5 and 8, budget-friendly and compact bicycle computers, feature a prominent button on their front side. By holding down this button for a few seconds, most data can be reset. However, accidental button presses while in a bag or pocket may erase ride data. To prevent such mishaps, create a laser-cut glue-on piece that safeguards the button. This accessory is unobtrusive when mounted on the bike and doesn't hinder its usage. For optimal fit, cut the part from 2mm acrylic due to its flexibility, while 3mm may work but could be more challenging. Post-cutting, apply superglue on the backside, align it with the button and screen, and let it dry in place. Be cautious not to glue your fingers together during this process. As promised, a DXF file is now available for download.
