Bike chain sprockets
thingiverse
Here are two eight-tooth sprockets designed specifically for use with a standard 1/2-1/8 single-speed bicycle chain on an axle from a NEMA23 stepper motor or secured via a 1/4-20 hex nut that accepts a wrench with a size of 7/16". I had them printed via Shapeways in Metallic Plastic but found out afterwards the friction fit intended for the stepper sprocket didn't work, so now they also feature a hole to secure using a 4-40 set screw which leaves plenty of space for a machine screw if desired. Additionally, these new and improved sprockets have a cap added over the hex nut and come with redesigned teeth providing better durability against stiff chain links, such as those found here http://bicycletutor.com/stiff-chain-link/. The design I'm posting today should serve you best - September 6th of last year marked my latest changes and they will not need any revisions in future.
