Bike Bottle Cage Adapter (1 mount holds 3 bottles!)

Bike Bottle Cage Adapter (1 mount holds 3 bottles!)

thingiverse

This allows a single bottle mount on a bike to hold three bottles. It's useful for riders who only have one bottle mount, or need to carry more water for long trips. Take off the bottle cage, install the adapter, then place the bottle cage on top of the adapter with bolts going through both into threaded holes in the frame. This design requires separate bottle cages that can be purchased inexpensively or 3D printed. The extended bottle cages can be mounted using small screws and nuts, or glued directly to the adapter with superglue. It's recommended to secure the end with no bolts connecting it to the bike frame with a zip tie around the frame for added stability. This setup should not be attached to the seatpost as it will obstruct leg movement while pedaling. There are two versions available: the original and one that has been modified for printing on smaller printers. If you print the modified version, you can glue the two pieces together with superglue. Let me know in the comments if you have any recommendations or revisions to share. Thanks for your feedback, and enjoy carrying extra water!
