Bike Bell

Bike Bell

thingiverse

For a long time, I've had a fantastic bike bell with an ingenious design - just one piece of plastic, easy to install, no screws required. The plastic started to degrade, so I decided to create a duplicate and refine the design slightly to reinforce some areas. Simulation from Fusion360 shows no significant local stress - see the pictures of stress and safety simulations under 10N of static pressure. The design should work with any metal bike bell top. If you have a bell with a different diameter, the Fusion360 file is included so you can modify it to fit your bell perfectly. Don't forget to add a piece of rubber (for example, a cut from a bike tube) between the bell mount and handlebars to increase grip. PETG is probably the ideal material for printing. I've also experimented with ABS and ASA. ABS broke after about a month or so, while ASA lasted almost a year.
