I too struggled with the Topeak bike bag, which led me to redesign and hopefully improve its internal clip part. The broken piece that needs fixing is clearly visible on the right side of the last photo. Since then, I've come up with a stronger alternative, which I've added as a new version dated 13-05-2018.
