Bigtreetech GTR V1.0 Enclosure

Bigtreetech GTR V1.0 Enclosure

thingiverse

Hi everyone, First of all, I created this design as my first project and thought I'd share it with others for their own use. This will fit on the table where my printer is mounted on (the Ikea Lack Table Enclosure). My printer started out as a CTC Prusa clone after many long hours and weekends. It has since evolved into a dual extruder single nozzle printer with a bigger printbed, now boasting a 25x25x20 build volume, a 220-volt heated bed, a Bigtreetech GTR V1.0 mainboard connected to a Raspberry Pi. The firmware (Marlin) was written from scratch and includes features like sensorless homing, stall guard, BLTouch, dual Z-axis (Z Align), dual extruder, single nozzle bowden style, 220-volt heatbed, neopixel, and more. The frame is mostly original except for some modifications. It's quite a Frankenstein creation that works surprisingly well, considering it started out as a $65 base model. I think it now rivals the performance of expensive printers, and the money I invested could have bought several nice Ender Tronxys instead. However, I wouldn't have gained the knowledge I've acquired if I hadn't taken this route. Most of you will agree that starting small is key to learning and expanding your hobby. The design has its flaws and isn't perfect, but feel free to modify it as you see fit. In the case, there's space for the Bigtreetech GTR V1.0 mainboard, and mounting holes are provided for a Raspberry Pi 3/3B/4B above the M5 expansion board opening. Be aware that if you mount the Pi inside, the ribbon cable for the M5 expansion board won't fit because it will collide with the GPIO from the Pi. The lid is designed to accommodate a 120mm fan, which I re-used and flipped upside down before printing. If you find this design useful, please feel free to have fun with it. It's all about having fun and learning! Don't mind the cable mess; it will be tidied up once everything is in its place. I also designed a small box for the Bigtreetech Relay card V1.0 and the cable connector for the PSU. The red box at the back can be found here: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4321124 Thanks, and enjoy!
