Biggest Thing

The Alibre model is a versatile parametric design that lets you tailor its size perfectly to match your 3D printer's table dimensions. Since it was initially created with my Up! in mind, you can easily scale it down or up to fit any other printer's layout. This design prioritizes sturdiness over material usage, ensuring the printed model remains rigid and resistant to curling at the corners. To get started, simply adjust the size of the model to match your printer's table dimensions and print one out for a reference point. As you work on new projects, use this model as a benchmark to gauge what your printer can handle in terms of size and complexity. Furthermore, it serves as an excellent testing ground for large prints, allowing you to identify potential issues before moving on to more critical projects. During my initial test with the Alibre model, I noticed that the corners curled off the table slightly, and there were some noticeable splits along the sides. However, these imperfections proved to be valuable lessons learned, giving me a better understanding of what to expect when working with larger prints in the future.
