BigBox IR Sensor Cover
thingiverse
Human: Created in response to a request for a protective cover for the IR sensor on the BigBox printer.\nThe design fits perfectly with the Hybrid IR sensor support.\nA loose fit is achieved by placing an M3 square nut in one of the provided cutouts and securing it with an M3 capscrew, which I used at 10mm long.\nIt's recommended to print this part using a high-temperature material, but my prototype was printed successfully with E3D Everyday PLA.\nPrint Settings: Printer: E3D BigBox 1.1 Hybrid Pro Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.25mm Infill: 22% Notes: If additional support is needed, you can use supports in the square nut supports without any issues. I found that the cutouts were a bit tight, so I used a screw to gently pull the nut into position.
