BigBox Dual Hybrid mounting bracket for BLTOUCH z probe
thingiverse
This is a retaining bracket that securely holds the BLTOUCH z probe in its precise location, mirroring the placement of the existing IR z probe. The existing IR probe wiring can be utilized directly, requiring only a minor adjustment to the BLTOUCH Dupont connector wiring. An additional wire must be connected to link the servo mechanism on the BLTOUCH to the RUMBA board. Print Settings Printer: BigBox Rafts: No Supports: Yes Resolution: 0.2 mm Infill: 100 % Notes: The retaining bracket should be printed with a non-brittle plastic material. I utilized PLA-Plus from eSun, which is easy to print and significantly less prone to brittleness than standard PLA while maintaining a comparable price. The bracket employs the same screws and nuts that currently hold the IR z probe in place to secure the BLTOUCH. In the provided photo, the bracket appears white. It's noteworthy that the wires emanating from the BLTOUCH have been grouped into the 3-pin Dupont connector to align with the existing connection for the IR probe. Also worth mentioning is that the redundant brown and black ground wires on the BLTOUCH require only one connection. In summary, a single extra wire must be connected from the RUMBA board to the BLTOUCH servo wire. Post-Printing How I Designed This This creation was produced using OpenSCAD.
