Big StrawGlass - Practical
pinshape
I'm thrilled by the original Big StrawGlass's unique charm, but drawing liquid through its straw requires some serious lung power. To make it more practical without sacrificing style, I've created a remixed spiral straw that's easier to clean, quenches thirst faster, and drains better at the bottom of the glass. In the picture above with two glasses, can you spot which one is the original? To avoid complaints about safety, I strongly recommend using food-safe plastic when making this project. Since there are plenty of other things to worry about, I opted for ABS plastic and even vapor-washed it because I'm a bit of a perfectionist. Print Settings: 0.20mm at 20% infill works well. The original design calls for 100% infill, but you can choose your own level of infill depending on your preferences. If you print in ABS, be prepared to vapor wash it; even with 100% infill, you may still experience leaking due to layer de-lamination or cracking, which are common issues with ABS.
