When I'm not in school, I serve as an adult volunteer for Multnomah Educational School District's Outdoor School program. This program takes 6th graders out of Portland, Oregon schools and into the woods to learn environmental science for a week, and I've been involved with it for years now. I worked closely with a staff member who recently left their position. Their departure had an incredible impact on me and helped me grow significantly. The model shown is of the building that served as our main hub for the animals field study portion of the week, which students participated in. I created this model as a parting gift to them and to challenge my 3D printer. The model consists of four primary pieces and a smaller fifth piece. It's designed with a removable roof, allowing it to serve as a fun shelf piece that can be easily disassembled.
