Big Nutz (Hex Nut Truck Nutz)
thingiverse
These accessories are designed to be attached to your rear bumper or trailer hitch, showcasing your truck's, jeep's, or SUV's ruggedness. They measure approximately 5 3/4 inches at their widest point and can add a touch of masculinity to any vehicle. Attach these to a pink Jeep Wrangler with a doily wheel cover to reveal its hidden tough side. This is based on personal experience. To print these accessories, you'll need a minimum build area of 150x150mm. Use a .3 layer height and 5% infill for the best results. After printing, carefully detach the accessory from the build plate. You'll then need to install an eye bolt with a 1/4 inch diameter and two nuts that fit over a 2 7/16 inch outside diameter. The top hole is 6.5mm in diameter, with an 11.5mm hex hole for those not familiar with SAE measurements. Insert one nut into the hex hole from inside, followed by a 1/4 washer and then another nut on the outside. Thread the eye bolt through the hole and secure it by tightening the outer nut. Once finished, you can paint the accessory to match your vehicle's color scheme or attach it using quick links as shown in the example. For outdoor use, consider printing with ABS instead of PLA. If you do choose PLA, a coat of spray paint will help protect it from UV and weather damage. Avoid printing these accessories in lime green at all costs – it's simply wrong!
