Big nut fidget toy
thingiverse
A massive nut that spins on your finger. You will need: * 1 x M36 nut (e.g. [this one](https://u-bolts-r-us.co.uk/hexagon-nuts-full-thin-heavy/11217-m36-hex-nut-bright-zinc-plated-bzp-din934-5055624417999.html)) * 1 x 6804 ball bearing. I highly recommend using a fully ceramic bearing for maximum spinning times (e.g. [this one](https://www.aliexpress.com/i/720775044.html) or [this one](https://www.amazon.co.uk/Ceramic-Bearing-0-3in-Miniature-White/dp/B08BJV6NY4)) * 2 x of these things printed. Print them without support or a brim. Assembly: 1. If you are using a fully ceramic bearing DO NOT LUBRICATE IT OR MODIFY IT. 2. If you are using a regular bearing it is likely the ball bearing won't be as free spinning as you'd like. Remove the rubber dust shields from the sides and use water & WD40 to clean out the lubricant inside. Re-lubricate it with WD40. 3. Slide the ball bearing into the middle of the nut. It's a tight fit so you'll probably need to wiggle it a lot and maybe give it some percussive assistance. 4. Screw the things you 3D printed into each side of the nut to secure the bearing in the middle. Make sure you thread them correctly or they'll stick. They will be stiff - be gentle, they break easily! Usage: * Spin spin spin yay
