"Big Mo" Model

The legendary Battleship USS Missouri, affectionately known as "Big Mo," holds a special place in my heart as the very vessel that served as my father's model during his childhood. I captured its majestic presence using my trusty Nikon D7500 camera, paired with the versatile Nikkor DX 18-55mm lens. The optimal focal length of 55mm allowed me to frame the battleship's grandeur perfectly, while an aperture of f/18 and a shutter speed of 1/20" ensured that every detail was crystal clear. I took four sets of thirty-two photos from eight different angles at varying heights, resulting in a comprehensive visual record of this incredible ship. To enhance the images, I processed them in Lightroom to eliminate any distracting backdrop or ground elements and added a touch of sharpness to really make the details pop. Finally, I utilized Agisoft Metashape to bring the photos together seamlessly, creating a stunning visual representation that does justice to the USS Missouri's storied history.
