It's well-known that tolerances in FDM printing can vary significantly from one printer to another. The same holds true here: right after completing a large print, it becomes apparent that the flowers don't match up with the stem. So before you start your 14-hour print without thinking twice, give this little trick a try: increase or decrease the calibration piece by the same percentage as you did with the flowers, testing and adjusting each time until you get it right. For instance, I printed my flowers at 50% scale but only the stem at 48%! This approach results in less wasted plastic.
