Big Hero 6 Yokai mask, wearable
thingiverse
Files for my modified Jtm model are ready. I specifically requested an eyeless version of the wearable mask for use. Covering the holes with see-through reflective film is feasible, making them functional as a single unit. Printing the entire mask in one piece can be done if you have a large enough print volume. However, doing so poses greater risks and uses up more material. Splitting it into individual parts reduces the need for support, making it more practical. These particular models are set to split just below the eyes. The ones I provided do so at the level of the inner corner, which prints smoother. Included with these files is a sliced model of both complete and modified versions. Printing the bottom section upside down minimizes the amount of support required for the nose area. Credit should go to Jtm for the original work, as they specified a no-derivatives license initially but later gave me permission after inquiring through comments. Meshmixer was used to remove the eyes from my model and Netfabb basic to slice it into individual parts efficiently. It handled complex internal geometry far better than manual cutting in Meshmixer could.
