Big Handle
thingiverse
After crafting a replacement handle for an equipment box, I decided to create this one to replace a broken handle that I had. It could serve as a large stout handle on any device you need it for. This is a single-piece print; simply hold the base and grasp the handle to break it free. For added strength, I used 50% infill, but you can opt for 100% or less depending on the weight of what you're lifting. As with my other handle, it utilizes supports (I set supports to 30% fill using Simplify3D), and once broken free, moving the handle back and forth will cause the support parts to fall out or be removable with needle-nose pliers. Measuring 4 inches by 6 inches, this large handle can be scaled as needed. Modify it to suit your preferences. Printer Settings: * Printer: FlashForge Creator Pro * Rafts: Yes * Supports: Yes * Resolution: .20 * Infill: 50% Notes: Printing in ABS at 235C and a bed temperature of 100C makes the removal process easier due to the large surface area on the table. Post-Printing: Rotate the handle to break it free, then continue rotating to release supports inside between the handle and base. Design Process: I designed this using 123D Design, processed it with Simplify3D, and printed it.
