Big Door in Kreuzberg, Berlin - iPhone PG

Stumbled upon this lovely door while on a walk through Kreuzberg district in Berlin. Caught mid-capture, a middle-aged woman approached me, exclaiming, "It's so ugly what they've done! It's a shame!" I'd always loved Berlin for its liberal amount of street art and graffiti on almost every building; it gave the city that grungey vibe that initially attracted me. But this woman had an interesting take. She'd lived there for a long time, likely born during or after WWII. She'd seen Berlin go from war-torn to rebuilt by Allies and Soviets, then to a place of political and artistic anarchy as Soviet rule ended.
