In October 2015, due to more professional work, the seller decided to let go of a big 3D printer that provided valuable experience and is highly recommended for those looking to advance in the field. It came equipped with a Bowden extruder and a heated print bed. In January 2014, the owner had to sell it as well due to new projects requiring space and money. The printer features a large print area of 46cm x 32cm x 42cm and can print PLA perfectly on a non-heated print bed with the help of hairspray. It is powered by a RAMPS 1.4, LCD graphics with SD for standalone printing, Chinese NEMA17 stepper motors, ATX power supply, 0.5mm nozzle, and 1.75mm filament. The owner made some adjustments to Marlin firmware and designed all parts themselves, printed on a MakerBot clone in PLA, except for the X-carriage and extruder parts in ABS due to heat issues. Future improvements include a recoded Marlin for color graphic and touch screen, an adjustable print bed, a servo-driven nozzle, a new X-carriage, optical endstops, and a Bowden extruder. The owner is open to collaborating with interested individuals on further development of the printer.
