The mech from my student project “Deusimator 2019”, a video game, served as the player's character in first person. This resulted in animation that played directly to camera and utilized a low poly body for reference in generating shadows and sound design. Sketchfab is malfunctioning with the animation in a way that no other program has reacted to this FBX or texture files, causing difficulties. I modelled, rigged, and animated the mech within Maya, initially textured it in Substance Painter, and then baked out materials from Unreal which modified them at runtime using Blue Prints. The design was inspired by Rock Em Sock Em Robots, Transformers, Gundam, Judas Priest's Defender of the Faith, and the art style of Pascal Blanché. The splatter texture was modified from the cover of Metallica's Load.
