Big Bang Theory Sculptures

thingiverse

This is a replica of the iconic metal sculpture from The Big Bang Theory's cafeteria. My uncle and I were both impressed by the intricate pieces on display, so we decided to recreate it ourselves. We started by gathering high-quality images of the sculpture from Google, then used Adobe Illustrator to meticulously trace its design. Next, we employed AutoCAD Fusion 360 to extrude the model into a three-dimensional representation. As we delved deeper into our project, we discovered that the sculpture is not a single, solid piece but rather composed of multiple metal components. Additionally, we were unable to find detailed screenshots or images that showcased the sculpture's dynamic movement from episode to episode. Instead, we relied on the thumbnail picture as our reference point and created a replica that closely resembles the one seen in The Big Bang Theory. Print Settings: Printer: Anet A8 Rafts: None Supports: None Resolution: .2 mm Infill: 20% Notes: For the initial layer, we used a resolution of .1 mm before switching to .2 mm for the remaining layers. We also scaled up our prints in Cura to 120mm on both the x and y axes, then adjusted the z-axis to 4mm.
