I'd love to see a sculpture or more smoky as an ashtray. It would be awesome if someone could print this in metal and a useful size for me. ABS works too, but you'll need access to fireproof coating paste. I'll post pics of my version as soon as it's printed. Beware: high-res mesh might have some flaws, but it still prints. I made this initially on an iPad with iDough!, then refurbished it in ZBrush and added cloth in Cinema 4D. Workflow for Black ABS: After cooling down, solidify the object twice with acetone (brush) and let it dry out to harden up. The stronger you brush, the more detail is lost, but it gets a damn glossy finish when you give it some work. For strong gloss, use a bigger wall strength than usual. Acetone weakens ABS for quite a while. Don't breathe in acetone! Cover the tray with a thin layer of fireproof material (cement-like stuff might work). Give it a nice paint job.
