To create a large seven-segment display, print seven segments using translucent PLA or natural ABS for shine-through effect. Also, print a decimal point and a full-size display front plate on a MakerBot, ensuring proper HBP setting for ABS. Clean up the prints, glue them together if necessary, drill segment membranes for LED fitting, stick in three 5mm red/orange LEDs per segment, wire everything up, and show off your impressive display to friends.
