Biface Knife. XCB-105-1079. 400 BCE-100 CE XCB-105 Adamagan, or place of walrus hunters in Aleut, sits atop Morzhovoi Bay on the western Alaska Peninsula. This massive village boasts multiple occupations and was once home to an estimated 1000 people during its peak from 400 BCE-100 CE. In addition, limited occupations have been dated to 2200-1700 BCE, 1000-600 BCE, and 900-1100 CE. The Western Alaska Peninsula artifacts were made possible by research grants NSF 9630072, NSF 9814086, NSF 9996372, NSF 9996415, NSF 1139266, NSF 1321411. H. Maschner led the investigation as Principal Investigator. Artifacts were scanned using a Faro Edge Arm or a Minolta Vivid 9i. Processing took place in Geomagic or Polyworks, with 2-8 photos used to create texture in Geomagic Wrap. The original digitizing work was done at Id St Univ's IVL, while subsequent processing and publication were completed at Global Digital Heritage.
